“Loko” in the semifinals

Krasnodar “Lokomotiv-Kuban” in the fourth match of the 1/4 final series beat UNICS – 84:79.

“Loko” at the start made a jerk – 13:0. Despite the fact that Krasnodar did not think to slow down, and even during the second quarter had more than 70% of the good attempts of shots, keeping UNICS at a two-digit distance, the Kazan suffered. The patience of the white-greens were rewarded by the curtain of the second quarter, when Joaquin Colom’s long-range shots and two shots of Coty Clarke allowed Kazan to reduce the gap to 5 points – 50:45.

It was not possible for UNICS to preserve this impulse after the change of sides. Having won the third quarter with a score of 18:11, “Lokomotiv” approached success in the match and the series. But UNICS decided not to give up – for 3 minutes before the siren the score 71:75 was on the scoreboard.

A minute before the end, the application for the title of “hero” was made by Matt Jenning. He left guardianship of Panin and scored with a foul (80:73), and then intercepted Colom’s assist. But UNICS fought back. Deliberate foul on Jenning, American missed one and long-range shot by Langford – and now the difference in score was only 2 points (79:81). And the next time Matt made both free throws. “Lokomotive” stood in the end and closed the series with a third victory in a row. In the semifinals, the Krasnodar club will play against CSKA Moscow.
