CSKA defeated Khimki at home in Game 2 of the playoff finals, 99-79.
CSKA took care of business in Game 2. Once again, the home team dominated in the first half, leading 59-43 at the break.
Despite a more aggressive approach on offense, Moscow Region never threatened in the second half. The visitors shot only 67% at the line (25-37) and Alexey Shved struggled again to find his rhythm, limited to 21 points on 5-16 shooting.
Viacheslav Zaitcev was the lone bright spot for Khimki. The Russian guard continued his breakout postseason, collecting nine points (4-5 fg), seven rebounds and six assists.
On top by 21 points entering the 4th quarter, CSKA cruised to a 99-79 win to take a 2-0 series lead.
Semyon Antonov scored 18 points.
