“Khimki” at the start of the European Cup Top 16 beat Lithuanian “Letkabelis” – 88-80.
In the first half of the match, when the score difference reached 10 points, “Letkabelis” took a timeout, and dominated in the end of the second quarter them (0-11).
After the break, “Khimki” returned their advantage, but their opponents have hit upon a weak spot in the protection of “Khimki” and quickly began to attack what succeeded: a series of accurate passes allowed to reduce the gap.
But the game rolled into a nervous ending with an abundance of fouls that did not give everything to Lithuanian team. The fans had to be nervous, but “Khimki” were stronger and won another victory in the European Cup.
