The captain of basketball club “Nyzhniy Novgorod”, bronze medallist of the European Championship and Olympic Games-2012 and the winner of the World University Games in Kazan in 2013 Semen Antonov was chosen to be one of the torchbearers of the Olympic Torch Relay “Sochi-2014”. Semen will be the torchbearer when the Olympic flame will be transferred on the territory of Nyzhniy Novgorod. Olympic Relay “Sochi-2014” is the longest in the history of Olympic Games. This relay will take 123 days, and the length of its distance will be more than 65 thousand kilometers. The Olympic torch will be carried by 14 thousand torchbearers with the help of more than 30 thousand of volunteers. It will start in Moscow on 7th of October, 2013.
