In Malaga, ended the match of the fourth round of the Eurocup group stage, in which “Unicaja” hosted UNICS. The first half of the meeting was held in an equal fight, a bit luckier in it were the hosts, completing it in their favor with the score 36:33.
In the third quarter, Kazan caught the advantage and led with a difference of 4 points – 52:48, but in the final playing time, the hosts gathered and moved the meeting into overtime – 70:70.
There they quickly stepped forward, and in the last minute, UNICS had to use fast fouls tactics. It allowed to gradually reduce the backlog and claim victory. But, having the advantage in offensive rebounds after an unrealized free throw with the score 80:82 4 seconds before the end of overtime, the Kazan players failed to complete the attack and lost.
The most productive player in UNICS was Pierria Henry, who scored 21 points.
