Moscow-based “Khimki” beat “Zenit” from St. Petersburg in the home match of the VTB United League regular season on the home court. As early as the first quarter, the site owners seized the initiative and led to the first break with a lead of 15 points. The second quarter was left for the guests, but they managed only to narrow the gap a little to the big break.
In the third quarter, the outcome of the match was actually resolved – another spurt of 15 points put an end to the hopes of the St. Petersburg club to win. The final game segment was won by “Zenit”, but this did not change the result – 90:67 in favor of “Khimki”.
The most productive player of the match in the winners was Tony Crocker, who scored 20 points, the same points were scored by Jordan Mickey. As part of the guests Jalen Reynolds scored 16 points and made 8 rebounds.
