“Khimki” with incomplete roster lost to “Astana” in the away match of the regular season of the VTB United League.
At the start of the fight, “Astana” seized the advantage and won the first quarter with a score of 29:16. In the second quater the guests managed to reduce the backlog a little, and for the big break the teams left at the score of 46:38 in favor of “Astana”.
In the third quarter, the team from Kazakhstan succeeded in another powerful spurt, which allowed it to lead before the final quarter with a difference of 18 points. Nevertheless, in the last 10 minutes “Khimki” thanks to a reliable game on the defense managed to return to the game and impose fight to “Astana”. Nevertheless the confident game of the leaders of the Kazakhstan club in the end of the match helped “Astana” to keep the victory – 84:79.
