On March 26, the fifth regular season of the VTB United Youth League finished.
10 teams from Russia participated in it. As a result of the regular championship, the struggle for the title and medals will be continued by the eight strongest teams.
The players of “Khimki-2” took the first place in the “regular”, they won 30 games from 36. “Samara-2” (27 victories) and “Lokomotiv-Kuban-2” (26 victories) took 2nd and 3rd place. Other participants in the final round were UNICS-2 (20 victories), CSKA-Junior (18 victories), “Parma-2” (16 victories), “Zenit-2” (15 victories) and “Nizhny Novgorod-2” (12 victories). The remaining places in the final classification of the season were taken by “Avtodor-2” (9th place, 11 victories) and “Enisey-2” (10th place, 5 victories).
In the first round of the Final of eight, in the quarterfinals, “Khimki-2” – “Nizhny Novgorod-2”, “Samara-2” – “Zenit-2”, “Lokomotiv-Kuban-2” – “Parma-2” and UNICS-2 – CSKA-Junior will play. Winners of the first and fourth, second and third quarterfinal pairs will compete in the semi-finals.
“Final of eight” of the championship will be held from April 22 to April 24 in Samara.
On April 22nd matches of 1/4 finals will be played, on April 23rd – semi-finals and matches for 5-8th place, and on April 24th – the finals and matches for the 3rd, 5th and 7th places.
