Kazan’s UNICS at the home court outplayed Astana in the VTB United League regular season. From the first quarter Kazan took advantage of the game and the lead was an eight-point by the time of the first break. In the second ten minutes, UNICS maintained its advantage by winning a two-point difference in the game. By the big break, 37:27 was at the scoreboard.
In the third quarter, Astana managed to level the game, winning a ten-minute period with minimal advantage, and the final period of the game ended in a draw, but this did not help to undo the point deficit that had arisen in the first half of the game. The final score was 81-72.
Jamar Smith scored 19 points, Jeremiah Hill and Malcolm Hill scored by 17 points.
