The VTB United League regular season match, in which UNICS hosted Nizhny Novgorod, ended in Kazan. The visitors successfully started the game and after the first quarter they took the lead with a 9-point lead – 28:19. In the second ten minutes, UNICS added and not only got back into the game, but also took the lead – 42:40.
In the third quarter, guests managed to level the game – 60:60. But in the final ten minutes of the match UNICS still managed to finish off its tough opponents – 89:85.
Double-double of 14 points and 11 assists was made by Alex Tyus, while Jamar Smith brought another 20 points to Kazan.
