Today the Russian men’s team “under 18” in Latvia will hold the first match of the European Championship in its age category. The tournament will be held in three cities (Ventspils, Liepaja and Riga) from July 28 to August 5.
The coaching staff of the U18 team included the clients of our agency, the guards Alexander Ershov (CSKA-Junior, Moscow, 17 years, 196 cm), Makar Konovalov (CSKA-Junior, 17 years, 190 cm) and Konstantin Shevchuk (Zenit-Farm, St. Petersburg, 18 years old, 190 cm). At the group stage the Russian team will play in Group B (all matches will be held in Ventspils). It will meet with the teams of France (July 28 at 20.45 Moscow time), Germany (July 29 at 20.45) and Turkey (July 31 at 16.15). All 16 participants of the European Championship will go out in the play-off.
Matches of top 16 will be held on August 1, 1/4 finals – on August 3, semi-finals – on August 4, finals and matches for all other places – on August 5.
