Jordan Mickey, who already played for Khimki in the 2018-2019 season, returns to the club. The contract with the American forward is signed for one year.
Rimas Kurtinaitis, Khimki Moscow Region head coach:
– We know Jordan well. He can “close” both four and five positions, but I see him more in the position of a power forward. In this spot, he played for us the year before last. We wanted to keep him in the squad back then, but it didn’t work out, and now I am happy to have him back. I am sure that he will cope with his tasks perfectly; it will be easier for him, he knows the club, the players and understands my philosophy. Mickey has a lot of potential and will significantly strengthen our team.
Last season, Mickey played for Real Madrid (Spain). In the Euroleague, Mickey played 26 games (2 — started), averaging 9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1 blocked shot in 16:35 minutes. In the Spanish League, Jordan played 15 games, for which he scored 6.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 0.9 blocked shots in 16:07 minutes.
Mickey previously played for Louisiana State University (NCAA, USA), Boston Celtics (NBA, USA), Maine Red Claws (NBA G League, USA), Miami Heat (NBA, USA) and Khimki (Russia).
