In Khimki, in the duel of the VTB United League, the hosts beat Tallinn’s “Kalev”, although, contrary to the expectations of the fans, the victory was not easy.
The players of Bartzokas confidently began the game, winning the first quarter with a score of 22:12, but in the second quarter the guests managed to impose competitive basketball on “Khimki”, and the hosts failed to increase the advantage to a big break – 37:27. In the third quarter, the Estonian team again made attempts to recoup and reduced the gap to 9 points – 45:54. In the final 10 minutes of the match, the hosts stopped Kalev’s attempts to win back and registered the victory with a score of 80:73.
17 points were brought to “Khimki” by Tony Crocker and Dee Bost. Double-double – 16 points and 11 rebounds – was made by Jordan Mickey.
