A central game of the VTB United League regular season weekend, in which Zenit hosted Lokomotiv-Kuban, ended in St. Petersburg. The team from the banks of the Neva River successfully started the match and after the first quarter led with a difference of seven points – 23:16. By the big break, the advantage of St.Petersburg team was 13 points – 53:40.
However, in the second half, the visitors managed to add to the score. Already in the third half of the game they reduced the gap to four points – 64:68. And in the final ten minutes of the match the Kuban team managed to make another breakthrough, thanks to which they won – 86:80.
Will Thomas, who scored 17 points, was the most effective player of Zenit.
