In Budapest, the match of the third round of the group round qualification of the women’s Eurobasket 2019 between the national teams of Hungary and Russia took place. The Russian team won. Ksenia Tikhonenko went to the court.
The guests confidently started the game, winning the first quarter with a difference of 8 points. By the big break the advantage of Russians reached double figures – 37:23. In the third quarter on the floor there was an equal game, and only in the last ten minutes the team of Hungary tried to recoup, having issued a serious jerk. Nevertheless, the team ща Lange managed to keep the victory, which became for it the third of three possible in the qualifying tournament – 71:64.
The qualifying for the women’s Eurobasket-2019 started last November. In the first two rounds, the Russians won over rivals from Albania and Lithuania. On February 14 Perm will host the 4th round of the group stage, in which the Russian national team will play with Albania.
